Neenah, WI- Future Neenah recognized the following individuals and businesses that, through partnerships, made serving as Neenah’s quality of life organization a pleasure in 2015. These honorees have hearts for community service and a love of Neenah.
Corporate Citizen of the Year Award: Appleton International Airport
Appleton International Airport (ATW) was recognized for extraordinary contributions by a business to the overall quality of life enjoyed in our community. This award acknowledges both civic leadership and sponsorship “ATW provides Neenah with the support to soar with continued investment in Future Neenah’s Evening Concert Series and Networking events. The ATW staff also contributes to the quality of life and overall fun in our community with additional activities like Christmas caroling at our businesses, bringing ATW bus to give free ice cream on hot summer days, or displaying their staff talent with onstage singing and dancing at our concerts. They are truly an extraordinary example of taking sponsorship to a high level of positive community impact,” states Future Neenah Executive Director Amy Barker.
Friend of Neenah Award: Culver’s
Culver’s of Neenah was recognized for outstanding, positive influence on the community. Their civic participation has made a significant impact in Neenah. “Culver’s helped us scoop up a successful Shattuck Park 100th Anniversary celebration on the hottest day of summer with product and personality. Their team served 1500 servings of free custard in a few short hours to our community at our Farmers Market. Their ongoing corporate gratitude for our farmers was felt that day through the service and smiles of their team,” stated Executive Director Amy Barker.
Downtown Business of the Year Award: Cannova’s
Cannova’s was recognized for embracing the Downtown brand of “Downtown. Unequaled.” Cannova’s has captured the attention of locals and visitors to the community as a sought after dining destination for the past 10 years. They are a consistent representative of the true Downtown spirit committing both time and resources to improving the central city district. Cannova’s staff can be spotted at every Farmers Market shopping for their farm fresh menu ingredients. Business owner Debbie Rasmus has also recently renovated the space above Cannova’s to respond to our community need of temporary corporate housing. Downtown Neenah has multiple world headquarters located in a few block radius of the restaurant and this new corporate housing amenity has been highly sought after by nearby companies. Cannova’s continues to serve up positive community spirit to all those they host.
