The Girlfriends Read Book Blub

Girlfriends Read features books with strong girl characters, written for ages nine and up but with broad appeal. Meetings include lively discussion, book-related activities, and snacks. Participants are welcome to attend solo or with a friend or family member. 

Join us in reading Kate Walden Directs: Bride of Slug Man by Wisconsin author Julie Mata. Middle-schooler Kate is set to make her next film after her first, Night of the Zombie Chickens, turned out to be a success. She is making her movie this time with some competition from the new, cute boy in school, Tristan. She has her sights set on making one great movie but there are challenges along the way.
