Kids Cuisine Culinary Camp

RECIPES:

Veggie Pizza Sauce
Makes enough sauce for 2-3 10” pizzas

4 medium tomatoes
1 carrot
2 clove garlic
½ sweet red or yellow onion
2-3 fresh basil leaves
1 Tbsp. Olive oil
Salt and pepper

  1. Core and split tomatoes in half
  2. Scoop out seeds and pulp from tomatoes
  3. Grate tomato with cheese grater (skin side up) to make a crushed puree
  4. Clean and chop carrot and add to puree
  5. Add puree and carrot to blender or food processor
  6. Add remaining vegetables and blend until smooth
  7. Add oil, salt and pepper to taste and blend for 10-15 seconds

**Any number of different vegetables can be added or substituted for this sauce. It does not need to be cooked as it will cook on the pizza.

Berry Snow Cone Syrup
Makes 8 servings (about 2 Tbsp. per serving)

1 cup fresh or frozen berries
¼ cup water
2 Tbsp. honey
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Place the berries, water, honey, and lemon juice in a blender, and blend until well combined.
Pour the syrup into a squeeze bottle and pour over shaved ice.
