FUTURE NEENAH RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING 2019 PARTNERSHIPS

Future Neenah celebrates the organizations that helped us achieve community success.


Neenah, WI January 15, 2020— Future Neenah recognized the following individuals and businesses that, through partnerships, made serving as Neenah’s quality of life organization a success in 2019. These honorees have hearts for community service and a love of Neenah Area.

Corporate Citizen of the Year Award: Legacy Private Trust Company
Legacy Private Trust Company was recognized for extraordinary contributions by a business to the overall quality of life enjoyed in our community. This award acknowledges both civic leadership and sponsorship.

Legacy Private Trust Company is being recognized for their commitment to the long-term sustainability of Future Neenah by hosting an endowment party, for making a multi-year commitment to the Future Neenah endowment fund, and for not only being a regular Future Neenah Magazine advertiser but for using their ad platform to promote our endowment in the winter 2019 issue and not to be forgotten, their ongoing sponsorship of the Out to Lunch Concert Series. They also celebrated their 15th anniversary in 2019. Future Neenah Executive Director, Nikki Hessel added, “We are incredibly grateful for partners like Legacy Private Trust Company who support our long-term success in the community with their generous gifts and time.”

Friend of Neenah Award: 4imprint

4imprint is being recognized with our Friend of Neenah award for all their help in promoting and branding the Future Neenah organization in 2019. As a small nonprofit, identity is so important and 4imprint realized that by donating everything from branded employee shirts and fleece to volunteer wear and logo table covers to fun flashing bracelets and stay cold mugs for events to assist us in recognizing donors and putting the fun in Neenah. Hessel commented, “In-kind donations like the one made by 4imprint makes it possible for our small nonprofit to not only proudly share our message and mission with the community but show tangible gratitude to our generous donors and supporters.”

Volunteer of the Year Award: Dr. Pat Mahoney
Volunteers are the unsung heroes and unpaid staff of a nonprofit organization like Future Neenah. The volunteer of the year gives significantly and unselfishly of their time to the organization and this is especially true of Pat Mahoney.

Dr. Pat is being recognized for being the smile behind the lens rather than in front of it. Pat has been generous in sharing his time and talents with us volunteering to take staff photos, board photos, event photos and more. His easy personality brings out the best in his photo subjects making for a catalog of wonderful community event pictures for the organization. Hessel said, “Dr. Pat is the true definition of a volunteer who gives of his time and talent with warmth, generosity, and humor. It is impossible not to smile around him, and he has undoubtedly made Neenah a better place to be.”

Downtown Business of the Year Award: Adam Shea Photography
Adam Shea is being recognized as the Downtown Business of the Year for going above and beyond to embrace the ideas of “Downtown Neenah Unequaled”. Adam puts the focus on creating a strong sense of community through his photography. He has captured the spirit and beauty of our Farm to Table Dinner and central city district so we can have professional looking photo-based promo pieces. Adam and his girls (wife & 2 young daughters) also make shopping local and small easy and important as seen in their online photo adventures. They’ve even been known to show up for an early morning television spot to promote a special event. Hessel added, “Adam has been so generous in sharing his incredible talent with the community around him and is one of the kindest, hardest working guys around!”

Civic Partners Award: Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue and Neenah Police Department
Neenah-Menasha Fire Rescue (NMFR) and Neenah Police Department (NPD) are being recognized for their ongoing partnership and support of Future Neenah events. Both participated with the August Superhero Breakfast and everyone loves their community Coffee with a Cop & Firefighter chats. The NMFR also lead the Rudolph Run with the Santa float and NPD is often on-hand at our events handing out sticker badges. It takes a team to put the fun in Neenah and we are proud to collaborate with both organizations to do so safely. Hessel said, “The Fire and Police Departments are essential partners in our ongoing efforts to provide safe, well organized, well executed events for the Neenah community. We are beyond grateful for their helpful support that quite often goes above and beyond the call of duty!”

Neenah With Pride Award: Stevenson Family
Future Neenah recognized the Stevenson Family as a family that exemplifies the Neenah With Pride spirit.

The Stevenson Family is being recognized for providing a lasting memory of our beloved Future Neenah volunteer Dee Novotny while giving back to the community to support the Shattuck Park Concert Series – music to our hearts and our ears!

Hessel added, “Although she will be greatly missed, we are excited to honor Dee’s love of life and music through our 2020 Shattuck Park Concert Series. A great, big thank you to the Stevenson family and each community member who donated in her memory.”
